First Year of Marriage

Most couples pour months into premarital counseling—but the truth is, the real work of marriage doesn't start until after the "I do." The first year is where you move from planning a wedding to actually building a life together: navigating money, in-laws, conflict, expectations, and the thousand small adjustments no one warns you about.

This course is designed to walk with you through that critical first year. You'll be paired with an experienced, older married couple as a mentor pair—people who've weathered the seasons you're just entering and can offer wisdom, encouragement, and a listening ear when things get hard. Alongside that mentorship, you'll learn practical tools for communication, conflict resolution, and building healthy habits early—so you can sidestep the common pitfalls that quietly erode so many marriages over time.

Premarital counseling prepares you for the wedding. This prepares you for the marriage.
